Thankful #30

November 30 was my Grandpa's birthday. He died when I was pregnant with Christian, so about 7 1/2 years ago. It was a shock and terribly sad. He was such an amazing Grandpa. I have letters he wrote me when I was little from the "Idaho Falls Tooth Fairy" or other such cuteness. He came to visit us every summer because we never lived anywhere near Idaho Falls. My grandmother, his wife, died when my mom was a teenager. We never really knew my other set of grandparents very well. It was always this one grandpa. He was witty and sweet and loving. I miss him, but am grateful for the time I had him. I am also grateful to have a testimony of eternal families. I know that he is aware of me and my family. I know that I will see him again someday and meet my beautiful grandmother, though I feel I already know her in many ways. What a beautiful and merciful God to provide a way for families to be bound throughout eternity. Of all my thankfuls, I think this is the thing for which I am most thankful. From the very depths of my soul.
