Toothless Prince

Once upon a time (yesterday), there was a handsome prince who had a very loose tooth. He wiggled and tugged and wiggled some more. Finally, it popped right out into his hand. Happy day! He put it in a pocket on his tooth fairy pillow that his most wonderful Royal Mumsie made him. The tooth fairy came and left him one dollar!
It reminded me of when that same prince lost his second tooth. He put it in the pillow pocket and asked if he could put the pillow in the hall that night. The queen asked why he would want to leave it there. The prince said, "So in case I wake up when the tooth fairy comes and she sees me awake and gets scared that I might pull her wings off or something. I don't want her to be scared." The queen loves that prince!

Happy Birthday, Hillyerie!

I've already told you how much I love my Hillyerie friend, but what I didn't tell you is that today is her BIRTHDAY. She is 29-ish (again). Happy Birthday!

Red Butte Garden

Today, for Arbor day, Red Butte Garden had a free day (plus, they gave us trees, so if anyone wants one... I don't think we have room for 3 Oak trees in our yard). I met my sister and her little girls there for a fun day. Most of the flowers were not in bloom, but the daffodils were. Now I want to plant millions of daffodils for next spring. (Photo by Christian)Roxie has a cousin only six months older than she is. They wanted to hold hands most of the time. I thought they were the cutest things I ever saw: The kids found a "shortcut" trail through what Christian called "the forest." I thought it was lovely. I made a new friend. Her name was Madam. She let me take her picture: Check out these trees. I felt like I was in a scene from Anne of Green Gables. Well, almost. It was so pretty I wanted to give it a fancy name like Anne Shirley always did. We found a tepee and squished all the kids inside for a photo. How cute are they? And here is the moral of the day (it might be my favorite moral ever): Yea, Arbor Day!

The Tiny Sleeping Beauty

Once upon a time, there was a tiny princess. She got a little bigger and so her parents set up a big girl bed for her. The crib always kept her where she needed to be. The big girl bed does not. Every night the loving king goes in and moves the tiny princess back into position before he goes to bed. The queen snapped a photo before he moved her last night...It's hard to stay in your tiny big girl bed.

Spring is here... for now

So, this is what the world looked like less than a week ago:
This is what it looks like today:
Which do you think I like better? Do you ever wonder if Mother Nature is a little bi-polar?

Plus, my Hillyerie friend came for a visit. We both needed hair help and I had to cancel on her due to a rotten cold last week. So, she zipped on up here for the afternoon. It was lovely. Do you have one of those friends that you just want to squeeze because you love her so much? And you could hang out every single day and never get sick of her or run out of things to talk about and even if you did, it would be OK? Yeah, that's Hillyerie. But she lives in Outer Mongolia, USA, (although I am grateful for the USA part - it would be much bigger drive from Outer Mongolia, Mongolia) so we don't get to see each other too terribly often. Isn't she precious? Isn't her hair all sorts of cuteness? (If I do say so myself...)
It was a happy day. Plus, she did my hair, too. It is lovely, but the picture I took is not, so you will have to come visit to see it. And if you don't know where I live, you probably don't need to see my hair. Except for Lynne. I don't know if she knows where I live, but she might want to see my hair. I would let her.

Are You Kidding Me?

This is what I woke up to this morning (APRIL 16 - you know, the dead of winter?): That is no small amount. I am not pleased, I tell you. Spring! Sunshine! Warm! Please!!!!
The (even grumpier) end.

Does This Look Like Spring to You?

I didn't think so.
The (grumpy) end.
