Once upon a time, there was a sweet robin who courted, fell in love with, and married a lovely she-robin. They decided the time was right to start their family. They searched high and low for the perfect spot to build their home. They found it. In a lovely little place I like to call
my porch light.
They built their home and the mama laid four eggs. On Mother's Day, of all days, two of them hatched. We are smitten with them. A third has since hatched. The nest is so high that we have to use a mirror to see into it.

So, I hope everyone had a most wonderful Mother's Day, people and birdies alike.

We had a sparrow momma build a nest on our porch light and raised the babies almost all the way and then a horrible Blue Jay ate the babies! The sparrow tired to build another nest but we tore it down again and again as we knew that nasty Blue Jay would return...and he did, often to check. I hope with all my heart yours make to to fly away. The photos are wonderful!
This is the most precious post! I love the color of robin's egg blue!! Such a happy color for such a happy bee-bee-ba-bee-bird (that's what they say you know?)
Love you,
That is a horrible story that Lynne lady told. Who is she anyway?
Those are the sweetest pictures I have ever seen.
I'm glad you blogged, I was about to alert the authorities of your disappearance.
Oh, I just read your post on Hillyaries blog--how do you spell her name anyway? I am so sorry I told you about that evil Blue Jay. Here's the scoop.
He lives here and does not know the way to your house.
It was a one time thing.
YOur birdies will grow up to be fine upstanding birds, go out into the world and make a difference.
