Sophie was blessed on April 10. Because of my parents' travel schedule, we were not able to do it in church and received permission to do it at home. (I prefer it that way anyway!) My Joanie mother-in-law made Sophie's gorgeous dress.
She was also the photographer. Because we did it at home, she was able to take a picture before the blessing that wouldn't have been possible in church. Doug blessed her while my dad, father-in-law, brother and bishop stood in the circle.
I love it! It was a beautiful day. I love such occasions!
