Last Saturday, we were minding our own business when the heavens opened and dumped some serious water. Like a monsoon. It was crazy. In a very uncharacteristic move, Doug yelled, "Kids, let's go play in the rain! Jess, get us some towels!" And out the door they flew.
Roxie wasn't quite sure that was the best idea Daddy ever had...
Since we apparently now live in Seattle instead of the desert, it's probably a good idea to figure out some rainy-time fun. It seems to be the only fun to be had these days.
We believe that we are an eternal family. As such, we love, respect, honor and serve one another. We strive to be a family of unity, integrity, virtue, faith, patriotism and compassion. We loyally defend one another and build each other up.
We know we are children of our Heavenly King and behave as such. We also recognize the divine nature of our fellow men and treat them accordingly.
We stand for right even if we feel we are standing alone.
We seek to develop our intellects by creating a house of learning. We study from the best books, especially the Standard Works of the Church.
We desire to always have the Spirit of the Lord present in our home. We have a testimony of the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. We love Him and worship Him as our Lord and Savior. We seek His direction as we strive to fulfill our individual and family missions.

Are you getting it again today? We haven't had to run our sprinklers in about 2 weeks!
Love you,
Well I think it's a pretty neat-o idea.
I think that was the best Dad idea in all the land. He's a rock star dad.
