Boring
I haven't posted in a while for two reasons:
1. There is nothing to say. I'm boring.
2. What can top the commentary from the dog expert?
Here's how boring we are:
Must be some stimulating dinner conversation, eh?
Warning: If you continue reading, you may have the same reaction!
I have been busy, busy, busy, homsechooling; working on my family herbalist course; sending out emails to the ward members reminding them of weekly events and working on the ward newsletter (which should have been done Sunday - oh well); reading; planning on doing the taxes, never actually getting to it, but stressing plenty about it; cleaning the house, but never getting it clean; etc, etc, etc...
We finally finished our homeschool unit on pirates. There were too many good pirate books, so we did it for way too long. We learned a lot about geography, history, a little about mythology, and had some great talks about faith and the fight between good and evil.
Today we will start a unit on gardens. We are determined to have a garden this year. Yea! So, we will make it part of our school and learn about seeds, plants, and so on. We will use heirloom seeds, so that we can learn how to preserve the seeds and use them later. They will be part of our food storage. We will do science experiments and read Little Britches by Ralph Moody, one of my favorites. I'm excited. Doug even committed to help!
So, although boring doesn't make for good blog posts, I'll take it over the not boring stuff I dealt with during this winter. Bring on the boring - and the spring!

Jess, you guys have way too much fun with your units. I would like to have been a little fly on the wall for the pirate unit! Somehow I can't get past the myth that the pirates are the good guys! (Way too many Errol Flynn movies like Crimson Pirate... go that one if you want to borrow it).
And I want the zoo animals to know that MY Daddy used to read Little Britches to me when I was a tiny girl! You will all love it.
Hugs to all,
Grammie
THIS WAS SOOOOOOOO FUNNY!!!!!!!
How much those little ones think they miss when they sleep :0)
I think it would be a hit on
utubed!
